Maya is a documentary photographer and journalist with a background in social anthropology. She has lived in Bali, Indonesia, where she took photos of the island, the everyday life of its people and some of the legendary Balinese dances.
Maya is also the founder of Outside Voices, a charity and online publication, which protests against the persecution of the powerless. She founded Outside Voices to give a voice to the marginalised and rarely heard.
